Following the DEAF and DMF, we distinguish the forms perree (a variant of perrerie) referring to 'precious stones' and perrei (CF perroi) referring to 'stony ground, path'. Similarly, the AND and CF dictionaries distinguish between perrerie in reference to 'precious stones', and perriere 'petrary' and 'stony ground, path', though the DMLBS notes that petraria could have the senses of both (2258a).
