Search the Textbase

Search the source texts for a specific form. You may also limit your search to particular texts or genres of texts.

Enter a word or part of a word. You may use an asterisk wildcard to search for words beginning (e.g. tre*), ending (e.g. *ment) or containing your term (e.g. *mon*). You may also use a question mark wildcard to denote any single letter (e.g. am?n* will find words beginning 'amon', 'amun' etc). You may also search for an exact word by surrounding it in double quotes (e.g. "poer").

Search the source texts to find passages where form 1 and form 2 appear near each other. Specify the maximum number of words between your forms and whether form 1 must appear before or after form 2. You may also limit your search to particular texts or genres of texts.
