prisable1 (s.xiiiex)

[ gdw]

[ FEW: *9,344a prehendere; Gdf: ; GdfC: ; TL: ; DEAF:  prendre (*); DMF: ; TLF: ; OED: ; MED: ; DMLBS: ]

This translation is suggested by the editor of Mir Just, who interprets the adjective as a synonym to prenable. While the pris- stem makes an association with the prehendere word family plausible, it is not out of the question that the lexeme should be interpreted as preisable (‘taxable’) and part of the pretium word family.
