sarcu2 (s.xivin)

[hp]

[FEW: ; Gdf: ; GdfC: ; TL: ; DEAF:  -; DMF: ; TLF: ; OED: ; MED: ; DMLBS: ]

The definition of this term derives from the ME gloss gane grin(e n. ‘a snare or trap for catching animals’. It would be possible to interpret the ME gloss as grave, that is ‘burial place of a corpse’, which would suggest the present citation should be included with sarcu1. However, the present citation is included within a list of tools making this interpretation unlikely though possibly this refers to a small case for keeping tools.
