The compound is unattested in English. R. Osberg in 'The Goldsmiths "Chastell" of 1377', Theatre Survey, 27 (1986) 1-5, suggests seluer could be a form of celure ‘paneling or some other ornamental covering for walls or ceilings’ or a type of silvered hide used to front siege-towers.
