serrure (s.xii1/3)

[gdw]

[ FEW: 11,497b serare; Gdf: 17,399b serrure; GdfC: 10,668a serrure; TL: 2,557 serrëure; DEAF:  serrer (serreüre); DMF:  serrure; TLF:  serrure; OED:  sear n.1; MED: ; DMLBS: 3050a serura ]
cerrure,  cerure;  seredure;  sereure,  serreure;  seroure;  serur,  serure,  serraure  (T) 82 serrue  i 135

Court Bar provides the only attestation of the word meaning ‘fish-pond, lake’, which may well be a scribal error for the more common term servour. However, the DMLBS provides further evidence of serura being used with reference to a ‘fishgarth’ (3050a).
